Title: Use of barbed threads in semi-invasive procedure for rejuvenation of the inferior orbital zone

Abstract

The work below is about the treatment to improve the appearence   in the inferior orbital area.  As the skin age, the orbital area  loses its elasticity. The lack of elasticity bring  to the looss of the previous support of the tissues,generating, flattening and depression in this area. For this zone  there have been two fundamental treatments: Surgical by Blepharoplasty and Infiltrative using hyaluronic acid gel. For many years the approach to this region was exclusively by surgical procedure by the intervention of inferior blepharoplasty. The biggest disadvantage of this procedure is in the possible complications inherent in all surgical act. With the advent of Infiltrative technique with  hyaluronic acid gel, the rejuvenation of this area is no longer the exclusive competence of plastic surgeons and ophthalmologists. The correction by injection is practiced with the same substances used on other parts of the face, the suggested techniques are however not sufficiently encoded and so sometime unfortunately the  accidental injection of filler in to blood vessel  can cause very serious complications.
