Session 13: Cancer Preventive Vaccines Oncolytic Therapy & Others
Cancer vaccines are intended to prevent some forms of cancer by giving immunity against the viruses that cause them. The human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination and the hepatitis B vaccine are the two most often utilised cancer preventative vaccines.
Cancer is the second leading cause of death worldwide. It's crucial to remember that cancer is not one disease, its more than 200 cancer diseases involved. All different, unique diseases, require different approaches for treatment. According to the US-based Cancer Research Institute, different types of cancer were responsible for around 9.6 million deaths in the world in the year 2018. Additionally, approximately 18 million cases of cancer were reported in the same year. Cancer has always been one of the most intimidating diseases in the world with a high chance of fatality. Detrimental lifestyle changes are responsible for consistently rising statistics of cancer patients in the world, which in turn has generated a high demand for the oncology market. Oncology has been fundamental in the prevention of cancer throughout the world because of advanced diagnosis, and timely prevention to lessen exposure to tobacco, smoking, and consumption of alcohol. The oncology market will witness remarkable growth in the upcoming years with the increase in disposable income, the booming medical technology sector, and elevated demand for cancer treatment. During the forecast period of 2019-2025, the market is expected to grow with a burgeoning compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 12.6%. In 2018, the size of the global market was estimated at $120 billion. Only worldwide research will enhance our understanding of cancer and help us find and develop better, more effective treatments. And only a global search for answers will help us get to grips with this disease. The conference will provide an exceptional opportunity for the delegates from Universities and Institutes to interact with the world-class Scientists and Industry Professionals working in the field of cancer (or) oncology.
