Plant Genomics Webinar

Theme: Surpassing the Vision in Plant Genomic Sciences

We are delighted to invite you all for our  Webinar on Plant Genomics which is scheduled for February 17, 2022, is to encourage global scholars from the fields of plant genomic science, epigenetics, plant genome editing to interact and collaborate with peers all over the world on this global platform. This Plant Genomics Webinar encourages the attendees from both academic and Industry sectors to share their novel innovative research insights virtually.
Highlights:
Pleanary Talks, Young Researchers Forum, Virtual Scientific Product Exhibition

Session 01: Plant Genome Science
Plant Genomics is the field of plant science focused on understanding the sequence, structure and regulation of the genome. With the advent of low cost high-throughput sequencing, investigations of the genome have become much more sophisticated in recent years.  It is now possible to compare multiple genomes within a species (pan-genomes) as well as across species (comparative genomics). One of the major challenges facing the field today is developing tools to mine these massive datasets and to visualize the results of comparative studies.  As additional data channels become available (e.g. methylation profiles, RNAseq datasets, chromatin maps), new computational tools will also be needed to integrate multiple omics datasets.

Session 02: Plant Epigenetics
The study of epigenetics in plants has a long and rich history, from initial descriptions of non-Mendelian gene behaviors to seminal discoveries of chromatin-modifying proteins and RNAs that mediate gene silencing in most eukaryotes, including humans. Unleash your innovative research findings on epigenetics under this session at Plant Genomics Webinar

Session 03: Plant Molecular Biology
The Plant Molecular Biology (PMB) session offers a unique interdisciplinary opportunity for international researchers, young scholars with specialized interests in the plant sciences to engage in research in the context of a broad education in all modern areas of biology. This session provides the opportunity in providing the information encoded in the genome is manifested as structures, processes and behaviours.

Session 04: Plant Genome Editing
Genome editing with CRISPR-Cas9 is amendable to edit any gene in any plant species. Because of its simplicity, efficiency, low cost, and the possibility to target multiple genes, it allows faster genetic modification than other techniques. It also can be used to genetically modify plants that were previously neglected.

Session 05: Genetics Market
The plant breeding and CRISPR plants market is estimated to account for USD 7.6 billion in 2018 and is projected to reach USD 14.6 billion by 2023, at a CAGR of 13.95% during the forecast period. Strong funding by the private and public sectors toward plant biotechnology such as the development of high-throughput sequencing systems and application of MAS and genomic selection in field and vegetable crops are projected to drive the growth of the market over the next five years.
