About City

Tokyo is often specify to as a city but is formally known and governed as a "metropolitan prefecture", which modify from and associate elements of a city and a prefecture, a unique to Tokyo. There are over 6,000 distinctive parks and gardens covering more than 1,000 hectares (2,471 acres) in the city. Many parks are correlate with shrines and temples. The Meiji Shrine is placed in a deep wood with very large trees. The shrine also has a famous iris garden. Other gardens can be found at Nezu Shrine, Nishiarai Daishi Temple and Kameido Shrine During a trip to Tokyo, visitors should explore out both the bustle--like the pulsing nightlife in Shinjuku or the world-famous most fractional intersection in ShibuyaEncompassed by these are the Tokyo National Museum the National Museum of Science, the National Museum of Western Art.

Plastic Engineering & Polymer Science Universities in Japan:

Kyoto University: The Department of Polymer Chemistry at Kyoto University, recognizing the importance and potential of polymers and macromolecules, aims at fundamental research and integrated education to cover every facet of polymer chemistry and science:  synthesis, reactions, structures, physical properties, and functions. Via its close partnership with neighboring disciplines in chemistry, physics, and biology, the research contributes to discoveries and innovations in science and technology that better the world for all of us. With its first-rate curricula, facilities, and faculty, the education cultivates creative and competent researchers and engineers of polymer science and relevant advanced studies.

Kindai University: Overview of polymer engineering at Kindai University, Polymer Engineering programme binds the various branches of engineering. Polymer Technologies are the binding forces behind today’s advancements in Engineering and Technology. A polymer technologist has a scope in number of avenues like aerospace, material, chemical, mechanical and even into medicine…Entrepreneurs from this area are also highly appreciated due to the flexibility and versatility of the branch. In this university there are some salient features also there like- Excellent infrastructure with extensive and imported instruments for synthesis of polymers, testing and processing of plastics, rubbers and composites, , Mold flow and other software for mould and product design, Highly qualified faculty with expertise in diversified polymer fields, Affiliate faculty from foreign Universities and Industries, Experiential / Project Based Learning.

Yamagata University: According to polymer engineering course at Yamagata university, Polymers have played a major part in the advancement of modern society and individual human lives, and will continue to play an increasingly essential role.  The Department of Polymer Science and Engineering, in the Faculty of Engineering at Yamagata University, is recognized as one of the largest polymer research groups in Japan, and has a long-standing history of providing contributions to polymer research and education.  More than 30 faculty members belong to this department at the undergraduate level, and additionally, our department is closely related to two graduate courses — in the Department of Polymer Science and Engineering and the Department of Organic Device Engineering — at the Graduate School of Science and Engineering.  In total, around 50 faculty members belong to these departments at the graduate level.

Toyohashi University of Technology: Polymers and polymeric composites are expanded to several mechanical structures and components since the materials have good mechanical properties with light weight. In the research, while mechanical properties of polymers and polymeric composites are evaluated, materials having excellent properties are also developed and designed.

  • Evaluation of mechanical properties and material designs of Nano-composites.
  • Effects of impact reduction and heat insulation by thin foam films.
  • Effect of crosslinking in polymers on mechanical properties.
  • Mechanical properties and material designs of rubber materials.

University of Tokyo: Polymer Engineering has 18 departments featuring principal engineering technology spanning a wide range of fields. The objective of graduate school education is the acquisition of a more advanced degree of engineering knowledge and research ability. In particular, future research and development is carried out autonomously in the Doctoral program, with an aim to also acquire leadership ability. The practice of graduate school education differs by department; however, schooling by means of the development of special fields of study has become increasingly important in the Master's program. Research at the Graduate School of Engineering is not just restricted to the "hard" studies centered on experimentation. Instead, diversity in the range of research fields is increasing with research concerning information, artificial intelligence research relating to the environment, disaster prevention, energy and urban social systems; and research into the interdisciplinary fields of life science and medicine which focus on the human. Research is conducted while maintaining a cooperative relationship with other fields of engineering, resulting in the pioneering and application of various new fields.
