Theme: New Horizons in the field of Oral and Dental Health

4^th World Dental Conference 2019 (CE accredited by the London Oral Restorative Academy)is scheduled on March 25-26, 2019 in the city of lights Paris, France. The conference will focus on the theme “New Horizons in the field of Oral and Dental Health”. This dental conference provides a platform for all the healthcare professionals, researchers, clinicians, scholars, and businessmen to come together and share their ideas. The Dental congress 2019 aims to raise global awareness about the issues related to oral health and provides a scientific programme, a trade exhibition and an international forum for the advancement of oral health, oral health care and all other subjects related to oral hygiene. It provides a great opportunity for establishing strong relations between the dental organizations, the general public, and government so that they can work together to achieve healthier mouths and happier lives.

The Event is CE accredited by the London Oral Restorative Academy (LORA). LORA is registered and is based in London, it is a dental course provider in the UK and overseas, through the delegates in several countries all over the world.

Dental Hygiene and Oral health

Dental or oral hygiene is a systematic approach in which Dental Hygienist uses 5 basic key behaviours, which are: Assessment, Diagnosis, Planning, Implementation and Evaluation for maintaining a good oral hygiene for both teeth and gums and for getting a happy smile with a healthy mouth. Common problems seen if not taken proper care are:

Everything teeth which is present is not similar, they have distinguished features. The incisors, canines, pre-molars and molars all are having the different functions and structures and for dental treatment it becomes very important to understand the dental anatomy.

Paediatric Dentistry

It is the branch of dentistry dealing with the children from birth till their adolescence period and Paediatric dentists are educational assets who provide important information to their parents. Early oral examination aids in the detection of the early levels of tooth decay which further important to sustain oral health, modify aberrant habits, and treat as needed and as possible.

Dental Implantology

In last 25 years dental implants have changed the face of dentistry. The new innovations in the techniques and the development of different instruments has led to the development of the field.

Restorative Dentistry and Endodontic Therapy

Endodontic therapy or root canal therapy is a procedure used for the treatment of the infected pulp of a tooth in order to eliminate and protect other teeth from the future microbial infections by removing the dental pulp, which constitute of nerve tissue, blood vessels, and other cellular entities. Dental restoration or dental filling is a treatment which is used to restore the morphology of the missing tooth and to maintain its integrity. The technique is used in root canal to fill the space where the dental pulp normally used to reside by gold, amalgam, dental composites or porcelain.

Dental Surgery

It is a medical procedure/ surgery of the teeth and jaw bones. The commonly used procedures are Endodontic surgery, Prosthodontics, Orthodontics, Periodontics,Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Prosthodontics – It is a branch of dentistry which is recognised by American Dental Association and is also known as prosthetic dentistry, the field which focuses on dental prostheses.
Orthodontics or Orthodontia – is the field of dentistry which deals with the diagnosis, prevention and correction of the misplaced teeth and jaws.
Periodontics – It is the one of the field of the dentistry which deals with the study of the periodontal diseases.
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OSM or OMS) – it is the specialized field of surgery for the treatment of the injuries and defects in head, face, neck, jaw, hard and soft tissues around the mouth (oral) and the maxillofacial region (jaws and face).

Dental Anesthesiology

It is the branch of dentistry which deals with the management of pain during the different type of dental surgeries by the use of advanced local and general anesthesia technique. Dental anesthesiologist is the sole person responsible for giving the sedation to the patient and they are the leader of the anesthesia research and their contribution lead to the development of the new drugs.

Oral Medicine

Oral medicine also known as stomatology, dental medicine or oral and maxillofacial medicine is an interface between medicine and dentistry which is concerned with the non-surgical management and clinical diagnosis of the dental and non-dental pathologies which is affecting the mouth and lower face region of the face.

Cosmetic Dentistry

It is a procedure which is done to improve the appearance of teeth, gums and it primarily focuses on the improvement of dental aesthetics colour, position, shape, size, alignment and overall appearance. This may involve addition of dental material to the teeth or gums, removal of a tooth, teeth whitening, gum depigmentation, improvement in the appearance of the shape by straightening of the teeth.

Geriatric Dentistry

Oral health is an integral part of the general health and in elderly people it is considered as a major risk factor for many problems. Geriatric dentistry deals with the diagnosis, prevention, management and treatment of oral cavity in the elderly people who are suffering from the problems like dementia, arthritis, osteoporosis, etc.

3D Dentistry

The dental industry has been improving at an incredible rate for the past several decades and one of the leading, exciting developments in the field of dental diagnostics is 3D dental imaging. Through this technology dentists get a superior view of what they are diagnosing and it helps them in making effectively determining their next step.

Antibiotic Prophylaxis

Prophylaxis is a procedure performed usually for the thorough cleaning of the teeth. Antibiotic prophylaxis is used for patients in dentistry, who are at a great risk of developing endocarditis or prosthetic joint infection. The main motive is to remove/ reduce the transient bacterium caused by the invasive dental procedure.

Robotics in Dentistry

With the advancement in the field of dentistry, the use of robotics has been very easily adapted by the dentists. It is a two way technique in which both the dentists and the computer is involved, Dentists control the robots virtually by a joystick and perform different dental procedures. Many successful procedures have been done using this technique and it is being considered as the future of dentistry.

CAD/CAM Dentistry

CAD / CAM application in dentistry recently has most importance in the field of prosthetic. CAD / CAM application in dentistry is the process by which dental restoration through fine milling process of ready ceramic blocks is attained finished and is also used for dental computer aided design and computer aided manufacture of inlays, onlays, crowns and bridges.

Prosthetic Dentistry

Prosthetic dentistry is one of the fundamental pillars of dentistry. It is the most valuable tool with high therapeutically and preventive character. Modern prosthetics offers classical solutions with simple fixed and removable dentures, and advanced solutions with dental implants support for rehabilitation of dental defects. Nowadays the most sophisticated systems are based on ceramics, dental implants and CAD/CAM technologies.
