Dubai is widely known for its amazing Gold Souk, which offers dozens of jewellery stores selling gold, silver and precious stones. he traditional market looks simple until one starts window shopping and sees some of the most astonishing jewellery designs.
Whatever way you look at it, Dubai is a contradiction of sorts. But love it or hate it, it’s a city that demands attention.
TRANSPORTATION:
By air system: In the metropolis the Dubai International Airport is the only airport and also the busiest in the UAE.
By Bus: In Dubai Emirates Express connects to all other.
By road or self-drive: The only way of entering Dubai is through Oman which doesn’t require any permit, but only have to pay an exit charge of 3000 Omani Rail.
The different transportation systems are Roads, Taxis, Dubai Metro, Bus, Ports and water travel, Air travel .The growing population in Dubai made passengers experience a high amount of Traffic overcrowding which has made the city congested in all over the UAE.Transport Corporations in the city operates creamy coloured taxis, with different colour tops representing different private companies operating under RTA regulations. Some of the private cab companies are Cars Taxi, Metro Taxi, etc. The Dubai metro currently operates two lines. The two large commercial ports of Dubai are, Port Rashid and Port Jebel Ali.
ECONOMIC AND EDUCATION:
The economic system of Dubai is focused on tourism by building hotels and real estates.The largest man-made harbour in the world is Port Jebel Ali, constructed in the 1970s, but also developing as a hub for service industries such as IT and finance, including the new Dubai international financial centre. This city is a hometown to skyscrapers such as Emirates Towers and the Burj-al-Arab hotel, currently the world's fifth tallest and most expensive. It has launched Dubai Science Park which is combination of Du Biotech and En Park. This city is a business park to be targeted companies working in medical science fields, genetic research, pharmaceutical, and biodefense. The International Media Production Zone is a project hub for printers, media production companies, publishers, and other industry. Ports are an example of industrialization in Dubai.
Dubai city is located on the Persian Gulf which is in the northeast of the UAE. This city has a unique geographical location due to which it enjoys a strategic position which allows it to be connected to all local Gulf States, East Africa and South Asia.
